Ellen’s urge to write started long before her first written word, her mind created poems, short stories, and looming characters for her future books. She lived from one place to another throughout the country during her formative years, you will find many of these memories intertwined throughout her writing.
Her first and second book launched charismatic sleuth, Lawrence Donae’, who will return in her sixth book.
Asked to write a story on a black woman, she said, ‘Yes” and CeeCee Shades of Black was born. Readers love this book and the characters. Most say, ‘should be a movie.’
