Venetia Hobson Lewis, originally from Texas, worked for almost eighteen years as a corporate paralegal for a motion picture studio in California before retiring to Arizona.
Venetia’s debut novel Changing Woman, A Novel of the Camp Grant Massacre was published by Bison Books, University of Nebraska Press, on June 1, 2023. It won the Gold Medallion for Western Traditional Fiction (2024 Will Rogers Medallion Awards) and Best First Book set in Arizona (2024 New Mexico-Arizona Books Awards), and was Finalist for Best Western Fiction by National INDIE Excellence and at the 20th annual American Book Fest Awards, among others.
