Wilma MacLiver began writing at age 10 to relieve the pain of her mother’s unrelenting abuse.

She discovered that writing brought her some relief. Years later, she searched for a book on mother-daughter sexual abuse (MDSA), from a daughter’s perspective and couldn’t find any.

She decided then that she would write her story for other daughters searching.
Life Behind the Masks is the true account of the unspeakable abuse she suffered and her inspiring healing process. She is a public speaker on the issues of child abuse and bullying and she works with trauma support groups.
